Childhood ambition: Breakfast cereal box tops helped me to acquire my very own toy printing press. I wanted to be a publisher and news reporter.
First job: Does Candy Striper count? How about birthday cake cutter on the set of a live children’s television show, really.
Why advertising: Continuing education. Although those of us who work in this business likely will never know a client’s business as well as they do, we are challenged with continuous learning on a “dual-track”, keeping up with the communications world and with the client’s world. It’s inspiring and it’s investigating and learning all the time.
What gets you out of bed every morning: I’m a morning person. I love watching the sun come up over my dock. It’s an opportunity to be thankful for all the people in my life.
Indulgence: Books, books, books, books. And, travel. And, food. And, friends.
What year do you think robots will inherit the Earth: M-m-m-m-m.
Brilliant strategic ideas and brand strategies don't just pop up out of thin air, though Colleen sometimes makes it appear that way. In reality it's because she's done her homework – 30 years worth of it – guiding corporate giants like General Foods, Lincoln-Mercury, Johnson & Johnson, Publix Supermarkets and a number of major healthcare accounts around the country. By understanding clients' goals, market tendencies and by being proactive instead of reactive, she creates the confluence from which all great creative springs. Here at Trickey Jennus, Colleen is responsible for all aspects of agency management, including planning and sales, managing budgets, overseeing day-to-day operations and all aspects of client activities. And being the studious gardener that she is, success blossoms for each of our clients.
